Battle in the Big Keep Tank Guide

Are you gearing up to take on the challenges of Icecrown Citadel's heroic 10- and 25-man raids? As a tank, it's crucial to know the ins and outs of each boss fight to ensure success. In this guide, we'll dive into specific tactics for ICC's heroic encounters, focusing on Gunship Battle, Lady Deathwhisper, and Lord Marrowgar.

Gunship Battle

When jumping onto the enemy ship, keep in mind that you should only taunt the boss and ignore other adds. As an off-tank on Lady Deathwhisper when her mana shield is down, it's essential to generate some threat when you're not actively tanking the boss. When adds spawn, prioritize picking them up and help with Frostbolt interrupts whenever possible.

As the main tank on Lady Deathwhisper during this phase, your goal is to generate as much threat before insignificance stacks reach 5. Interrupt Frostbolt if you can, as this will make the fight significantly easier.

Lady Deathwhisper

When dealing with cult fanatics and deformed fanatics, remember not to face them towards the raid, as they have nasty cleave and can deal significant damage. When Lady Deathwhisper loses her mana shield, either pick up the boss with a taunt (1-2 seconds before the shield fades) or try to generate threat on her.

Lord Marrowgar

To reduce damage from cleave during Bone Storm, make sure to stay in front of the boss alongside another tank. You can also contribute to the raid by providing healing, damage reduction, and damage on spikes (heroic only).
